VeriGoldTM SARS-CoV-2, RSV, Flu A & B

The VeriGold™ SARS-CoV-2, RSV, Influenza A & B Rapid Diagnostic Test is an immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Influenza A, and Influenza B viral antigens in human nasal swab specimens. This test is intended to aid in the rapid differential diagnosis of respiratory infections caused by SARS-CoV-2, RSV, Influenza A, and Influenza B, providing results within minutes to support timely clinical decision-making during respiratory illness seasons and outbreak situations.

The test is intended for professional and laboratory use only. Negative results should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical findings and may require confirmation by additional methods, as they do not exclude infection with SARS-CoV-2, RSV, Influenza A, or Influenza B and should not be used as the sole basis for treatment or other patient management decisions.

Detection Method Immunochromatography
Antibody Format Multiplex / sandwich
Signal Generation Colloidal gold
Reading Method Instrument-based
Mechanism The assay is based on a sandwich immunochromatographic lateral flow principle, in which SARS-CoV-2, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Influenza A, and Influenza B viral antigens present in the nasal swab specimen bind to specific labeled antibodies during migration along the membrane by capillary action. The resulting antigen–antibody complexes are captured by immobilized antibodies at distinct test regions specific for SARS-CoV-2, RSV, Influenza A, and Influenza B, forming antibody–antigen–antibody sandwich complexes that produce visible signals indicating the presence of the respective viral antigens in the sample.
