VeriGoldTM H. Pylori Ab

The VeriGoldTM H. pylori Ab Rapid Test is an in vitro qualitative immunochromatographic assay designed for the rapid detection of antibodies against Helicobacter pylori in human whole blood, plasma, or serum specimens. The test provides simple and rapid screening for exposure to H. pylori, a bacterium commonly associated with gastrointestinal disorders such as gastritis and peptic ulcer disease.

As a non-invasive qualitative test, results are reported simply as positive or negative, enabling rapid detection of exposure to the bacterium. Results are available within minutes from a blood, serum, or plasma sample, making this test useful for initial screening and supportive evaluation in clinical and point-of-care settings.

Sample Types Human whole blood, plasma or serum
Sample Volume Add 20 µL of plasma sample to the sample well of the test cassette, followed by 3 drops (approximately 100 µL) of sample diluent.
Collection Method Venous blood
Sample Stability Stable for testing within 1 hour at room temperature (as validated)
Acceptable Anticoagulants EDTA / Heparin / Citrate (as applicable)
Notes on Handling Specimens should be collected and handled using standard laboratory procedures. Use fresh samples when possible and avoid hemolyzed, lipemic, or contaminated specimens.
Detection Method Immunochromatography
Antibody Format Monoclonal / sandwich
Signal Generation Colloidal gold
Reading Method Visual
Mechanism The assay is based on an immunochromatographic lateral flow principle, in which antibodies against Helicobacter pylori present in the sample bind to labeled H. pylori antigens during migration along the membrane by capillary action. The resulting immune complexes are captured at the test line by immobilized binding reagents, producing a visible signal indicating the presence of anti-H. pylori antibodies in the specimen.
