VeriGoldTM PSA

The VeriGoldTM Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Rapid Test is a chromatographic immunoassay designed for the quantitative detection of total prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in human serum or plasma. Intended for professional in-vitro diagnostic use, the assay provides rapid and reliable PSA measurement in clinical laboratories, healthcare facilities, and physician offices. Its point-of-care format enables timely evaluation without the need for automated laboratory systems.

PSA testing is widely used as a screening and monitoring tool for the early detection and clinical management of prostate cancer in adult male patients. Elevated PSA levels may also be associated with benign prostate conditions; therefore, results should be interpreted together with patient history, clinical examination, and additional diagnostic procedures.

Notes on Handling Specimens should be collected and handled using standard laboratory procedures. Use fresh samples when possible and avoid hemolyzed, lipemic, or contaminated specimens.
Detection Method Immunochromatography
Antibody Format Monoclonal / sandwich
Signal Generation Colloidal gold
Reading Method Instrument-based
Mechanism The assay is based on a sandwich chromatographic immunoassay principle, where free PSA present in the sample binds to labeled anti-fPSA antibodies during capillary migration through the membrane. The resulting antigen–antibody complexes are captured by immobilized antibodies in the test region, producing a measurable signal proportional to the free PSA concentration in the specimen.
