VeriGoldTM CA125
The VeriGoldTM Cancer Antigen 125 (CA125) Rapid Test is a chromatographic immunoassay designed for the quantitative in-vitro determination of the CA125 tumor-associated antigen in human serum or plasma. CA125 is a well-known biomarker primarily associated with ovarian cancer, and the assay enables rapid measurement at the point of care without the need for centralized laboratory equipment.
This test is used as an aid in monitoring disease status in patients with confirmed ovarian cancer, particularly for tracking treatment response and detecting potential disease progression or recurrence. Because CA125 levels may also be influenced by benign conditions, results should always be interpreted together with clinical evaluation and other laboratory findings.

| Mechanism | The assay is based on a sandwich chromatographic immunoassay principle, in which CA125 antigen present in the sample binds to specific labeled monoclonal antibodies as it migrates along the membrane by capillary action. The resulting antigen–antibody complexes are captured by immobilized antibodies at the test line, producing a signal proportional to the CA125 concentration in the specimen. |
