VeriLumenTM 降钙素原 + 白介素-6

The VeriLumenTM PCT + IL-6 Rapid Test is an in vitro fluorescence immunochromatography assay for the quantitative detection of procalcitonin (PCT) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in human whole blood, plasma, or serum. PCT is a biomarker associated with systemic bacterial infection, inflammatory response, and sepsis, and its concentration may increase significantly during bacterial infections while remaining comparatively low in most viral infections. IL-6 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in immune regulation and inflammatory response, with levels that may rise early during infection, sepsis, tissue injury, autoimmune disorders, and systemic inflammation. The assay provides rapid quantitative results to support timely clinical evaluation in laboratory and point-of-care settings.

This combined test is intended to assist in the assessment and differentiation of bacterial and viral infections, as well as in the evaluation of inflammatory and infectious conditions. It supports clinical decision-making and patient management when interpreted together with clinical findings and other laboratory data. Quantitative measurement of PCT and IL-6 may also aid in assessing disease severity, monitoring inflammatory progression, and evaluating response to treatment in acute care settings.

Notes on Handling Specimens should be collected and handled using standard laboratory procedures. Use fresh samples when possible and avoid hemolyzed, lipemic, or contaminated specimens.
Detection Method Quantitative fluorescence immunochromatography
Antibody Format Multiplex / sandwich
Signal Generation Fluorescence signal (fluorescent-labeled immunochromatography)
Reading Method Instrument-based
Mechanism The assay is based on a dual fluorescence immunochromatographic sandwich principle, in which procalcitonin (PCT) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) present in the sample bind to their respective specific fluorescently labeled antibodies during capillary migration along the membrane. The resulting antigen–antibody complexes are captured at separate immobilized test lines, and the fluorescence signals are measured independently and correlated with the concentrations of PCT and IL-6 in the specimen.
