VeriGoldTM S100β蛋白
The VeriGoldTM S100β蛋白 Rapid Test is an immunochromatographic assay for the quantitative determination of S100 calcium-binding protein β (S100β) in human whole blood, plasma, or serum samples. S100β is a protein primarily expressed in glial cells of the central nervous system, and its concentration is widely used as a biomarker associated with brain injury. The assay provides rapid quantitative results to support timely clinical evaluation in laboratory and point-of-care settings.
This test is mainly used in the clinical assessment of suspected brain injury, including evaluation of cerebral tissue damage, cerebral ischemia, and stroke. | Mechanism | The assay is based on a gold nanoparticle–labeled lateral flow immunoassay (sandwich principle), in which S100β present in the sample binds to colloidal gold–conjugated anti-S100β antibodies during capillary migration along the membrane. The resulting antigen–antibody complexes are captured by immobilized antibodies at the test region, forming a visible colored line whose intensity is proportional to the S100β concentration in the specimen. |
