VeriLumenTM 游离甲状腺素
The VeriLumenTM FT4 Rapid Test is a fluorescence immunochromatographic assay for the quantitative measurement of free thyroxine (FT4) in human whole blood, plasma, or serum samples. FT4 is the biologically active fraction of thyroxine and plays a key role in regulating metabolism, growth, and energy balance. Its concentration is widely used in the clinical assessment of thyroid function, reflecting circulating thyroid hormone availability. The assay provides rapid quantitative results to support timely clinical evaluation in laboratory and point-of-care settings.
This test is mainly used in the clinical evaluation of thyroid function, supporting assessment of patients with suspected hypo- or hyperthyroidism. | Mechanism | The assay is based on a fluorescence immunochromatographic competitive principle, in which free thyroxine (FT4) present in the sample competes with immobilized FT4 analogs at the test region for binding to specific fluorescently labeled anti-FT4 antibodies during capillary migration along the membrane. As the FT4 concentration in the sample increases, fewer labeled antibodies bind at the test region, resulting in a fluorescence signal that is inversely proportional to the FT4 concentration in the specimen. |
